Accessibility Statement
Last updated:
This English version is provided for convenience. The Hebrew version is the binding text.
ChipLab Computer Lab believes in providing equal service to all visitors and customers, including people with disabilities, and acts in accordance with the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Law, 5758-1998 and the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Regulations (Service Accessibility Adjustments), 5773-2013.
The site was designed and built in accordance with the WCAG 2.2 Level AA accessibility guidelines, which include the WCAG 2.0 Level AA requirements on which the Israeli Standard IS 5568 is based.
Status of the Check
A full manual check of the site has not been completed yet, so at this stage we do not declare full conformance with the standard. An automated check alone is not enough for that, because it covers only part of the requirements.
Date of the last manual check: manual check date.
Accessibility Features on the Site
- Full keyboard navigation, including a "Skip to main content" link and a visible focus outline.
- Respect for the browser's font size settings (relative units), and correct display when zoomed in and on narrow screens.
- Color contrast designed to meet AA requirements, in both of the site's themes (dark and light).
- A hierarchical heading structure, landmark regions and a declared page language, for screen readers.
- Text descriptions for meaningful images.
- Respect for the operating system's reduced motion preference (prefers-reduced-motion).
The Accessibility Menu
The site has an accessibility preferences menu: text size, high contrast, readable font, text spacing, link highlighting, heading highlighting, stop animations and a large cursor. The settings are saved in your browser for your next visits.
The menu is a convenience tool only. It is not what makes the site accessible, and it does not replace the accommodations in the site's own code or the assistive technologies you use.
Parts That May Not Be Fully Accessible
Despite our efforts, some components or pages may not be fully accessible. In particular:
- External services: the WhatsApp button and map links lead to third-party services (WhatsApp, Google Maps), whose accessibility is subject to those providers' policies.
- Downloadable files: if files are published on the site, they will be made accessible according to the standard. Found a file that is not accessible? Contact us and we will provide it in an accessible format.
- Issues not yet found, until the manual check is completed.
We keep improving, and we fix every issue reported to us.
